St Andrew’s Church Heritage Project
We are in the process of major roof repairs and a community engagement project – and we’d love to share our church’s heritage with you. St Andrew’s Church has stood on the rise overlooking Bebington Village since Saxon times, over 900 years ago. From modest beginnings, the building has developed in stages as the local population grew, with major extensions built in the 14th and 19th centuries. As a Grade 1 listed building within the Lower Bebington Conservation Area, its heritage demonstrates the key role of the church in the community of Bebington and the wider North Wirral area.
Today the church continues its main role as a place of worship, and offers three regular Anglican Christian services on Sundays in both traditional and family friendly styles. The church also runs and facilitates many community activities for all age groups throughout the week, and serves the Parish by conducting weddings, baptisms and funerals.
